 Bio 

Lokesh Pandya is a musician and composer based in Atlanta Georgia (USA). His main instrument is the tabla a percussion instrument based in India, but he also plays the piano and concert percussion instruments such as the timpani, snare drum, and mallets. He graduated with a B.S. degree in Commercial Music from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville   Tennessee (USA). 

He began training for tabla when he was 7 years old.  Lokesh started training for concert percussion in high school  playing for marching band and concert band. He continued playing during his undergrad at Nashville State Community College, and Trevecca Nazarene University . He also did an internship under the guidance of Michael Whitaker in Nashville to start training for composing music for film and TV.

Apart from playing tabla at religious, social functions and for devotional singing, he was also part of the front ensemble in  Hillsboro High School Band for 4 years. On top of that, he was a part of the percussion ensemble in both Nashville State and at Trevecca and has participated in the Jazz Ensemble at Nashville State for 2 years.  He was also part of the Wind Ensemble as well.  Currently, he is playing percussion in the Forsyth Symphony Orchestra in Cummings, GA. He also teaches piano for elementary school kids in the after school program. 

While performing is Lokesh’s main interest, he loves to do audio mixing for films and compose music during his spare time.  He also loves playing video games, spending time with friends, watching movies, and going on walks in his neighborhood.
