Lokesh Pandya is a musician and composer based in Atlanta Georgia. His main instrument is the tabla which is an instrument from India, but he also plays the piano and concert percussion instruments such as the timpani, snare drum, and mallets. He has performed at the Sri Ganesh Temple for the main festivals. He has performed for devotional songs at the Sathya Sai Center in Nashville for 14 years, has showcased the tabla at Nashville State Community College  for  jazz concerts in 2018, and at Trevecca Nazarene University for a world music and culture class in 2020, as well as playing solo for a percussion ensemble concert. Currently he plays tabla for religious and social functions, and for spiritual devotional songs at the Atlanta Sai Centers .

He began training for tabla when he was 7 years old.  Lokesh started training for concert percussion in high school  playing for marching band and continued during his under graduate education at Nashville State Community College, and Trevecca Nazarene University graduating with a degree in commercial music.  He also did an internship under the guidance of Michael Whitaker in Nashville to start training for composing music for films. 

Apart from playing tabla at religious, social functions and for spiritual music at Sai Centers, he also was part of the front ensemble in the Hillsboro High School Band for 4 years. Lokesh was in the percussion ensemble in both Nashville State and at Trevecca and has participated in the Jazz Ensemble at Nashville State for 2 years.  He was also part of Wind Ensemble and Percussion Ensemble at Trevecca.   

While performing is Lokesh’s main interest, he loves to do audio mixing for films and compose music during his spare time.  He also loves playing video games and watching movies, and going on walks in his neighborhood.
